Message from the Executive Director Greetings from New Delhi! We are pleased to announce that on July 4, 2008, the Governments of India and the United States signed a new agreement for educational exchange. India and the United States will now be full partners in the Fulbright academic exchange program first established with India in 1950. Reflecting this new partnership, USEFI is renamed the United States - India Educational Foundation (USIEF) and will award Fulbright -- Nehru Scholarships and Grants. USIEF is pleased to confirm that applications previously submitted for 2009-2010 are accepted under the new agreement. All 2009-20010 fellowships and grants will be considered under the terms approved by the new Board of Directors of the United States - India Educational Foundation.
